The Graduate Program in Biotechnology (PPGBiotec) at the Federal University of Delta do Parnaíba (UFDPar) offers "stricto sensu" academic training at the Master's and Doctoral (PhD) levels. Its primary objective is to train highly qualified professionals to engage in scientific research and higher education teaching. With a focus on developing technical and scientific skills, the program fosters the creative and innovative capabilities of its students, preparing them to tackle complex challenges and contribute significantly to the advancement of biotechnology. Furthermore, PPGBiotec aims to provide comprehensive and interdisciplinary training, promoting a solid theoretical and practical foundation that equips students to develop biotechnological solutions aimed at improving health and quality of life. PPGBiotec is structured around two main research lines, each addressing essential aspects of biotechnology. The first line, titled "Chemistry and Prospecting of Molecules with Therapeutic Potential," focuses on the discovery and development of new bioactive compounds with various applications, including pharmacological uses and material development. Researchers in this line explore the diversity of molecules from natural and synthetic origins, aiming to identify materials and substances with innovative therapeutic properties.
